Born from the earth and harnessing the beauty of nature—we exist to elevate your every day to create memorable moments of connection.

Each piece celebrates uniqueness and an innate individuality that cannot be replicated. Our hope is that Saltist becomes part of your world, a story to share and a point of pleasure.

Our belief is that hosting is a language of love and a meaningful way to share generosity and spread joy to those you love. With every Saltist experience, you are creating a narrative of nostalgia.

Beauty, sustainability and synergy remain at our core—a perfect balance that reflects the earth of our origin.

We are Saltist.

The Saltist Philosophy

Every pillar of our business is built on sustainability and supporting the natural rhythms and diversity of nature.

For the environment

The Saltist salt range is sourced from the Himalayan Mountains of Pakistan and is made from 100% natural Himalayan salt. It is sustainable, reusable and environmentally-friendly.

Once upon a time, the sea beds within these mountains were covered by lava which created a natural barrier that protected the salt from pollutants. Because of this barrier, many believe Himalayan salt to be the purest form of salt.

Sustainably sourced

Our partners in Pakistan gather our salt from the Himalayan Mountains using a sustainable excavation model called “Room and Pillar”, where they mine or extract the rock salt across a horizontal plane, increasing the harvesting time.

We feel a great sense of responsibility to ensure we have a positive impact on the individuals, communities and environment from which we source our salt.

Packaged with care

At every opportunity, we look to source the most sustainable packaging possible. Due to the natural qualities of our salt products, we have created packaging that helps to protect and store our eco-friendly pieces, with longevity as the focus.

We are dedicated to mindfully selecting packaging partners who allow us to continue our commitment to protect our planet.

The Saltist Collection

What started with salt has now evolved into a luxe lifestyle and homewares brand that stocks a range of beautiful, sustainable pieces for your home.

Our Salt Collection remains our signature, but our Sea Shell Collection continues to evolve and has inspired somewhat of a cult-following since launch.

At every step of the way, Saltist will continue to partner with suppliers who align with our ethos: ground from earth.

Meet the Founder

Saltist was founded in 2021 by Laura Cracknell, an Australian e-commerce and digital growth strategist with more than 15 years of experience scaling brands across fashion, beauty, hospitality and lifestyle.

Before launching Saltist, Laura led global e-commerce for The Beauty Chef across Australia, the US and UK; directed marketing and digital growth at iKOU through to its successful sale; and built her own consultancy, Cultivate Studio (formerly Excel Group Digital), partnering with brands across fashion, beauty, health, hospitality and lifestyle. Her career spans Shopify Plus, paid media, CRM, conversion optimisation, and the end-to-end commerce stack.

Saltist was born out of a different impulse. While building digital growth for other people's brands, Laura saw a gap in the market for considered, hand-made glassware that took the cocktail ritual seriously. The first product was the world's first hand-carved 100% Himalayan salt margarita glass: every glass shaped from natural pink Himalayan salt sourced from the mountains of Pakistan, with the salt rim built into the vessel itself. The brand has since grown to include salt shot glasses, natural sea shell cocktail glassware and conch shell wine glasses.

Saltist achieved six figures in revenue in its first year and has grown year on year through paid acquisition, organic search, wholesale partnerships and editorial coverage. The brand is Australian-designed and Sydney-based.
